This policy explains what this website stores on your device, what it loads from other companies, and how you can change your mind at any time. It covers cookies and the technologies the law treats the same way, such as local storage.
The short version
We store one thing on your device: the choice you make in our cookie banner. With your permission we use Google Analytics to measure how the site is used. Nothing is switched on until you say so, and nothing is pre-ticked. We run no advertising cookies and no cross-site tracking. The only third-party content that sets cookies is the Google map of our office, and we do not load it unless you tell us to.
What we store
Strictly necessary
One item of local storage, tq-cookie-consent, recording which categories you allowed and when you said so. It exists only to honour that choice, so it is kept whichever way you answer and needs no consent of its own. We ask again after about six months so your choice stays current.
Analytics
With your permission we use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are read, how people arrive, and where they leave. It sets cookies on your device and sends the visit to Google, which uses it for its own purposes as well as ours, so it is not loaded at all unless you allow analytics in the banner. Refusing is one click and costs you nothing on this site.
We keep Google Signals switched off, so your visit is not added to Google’s advertising profiles, and we do not run Google Ads remarketing from it. If you later change your mind, the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page withdraws your permission and deletes the cookies it set.
Advertising and social tracking
None. There are no advertising cookies, conversion pixels or social media trackers on this site.
Embedded content
Our home page and Find Us page show a Google map of our office at Alderley Park. Google sets its own cookies when that map loads, so the map does not load at all until you allow it. Until then you see a placeholder with a button to load it, and our full address is written out in text either way. Allowing the map switches on nothing else.
Other companies that receive your IP address
Parts of this site are delivered from other companies' servers: our typefaces come from Google Fonts, and some icons and scripts from the unpkg and jsDelivr content networks. These set no cookies, but like any request on the internet they tell that company your IP address and which page asked for the file. We mention it so the picture is complete.
Your choices
- When you first visit, the banner lets you allow or refuse embedded content. Refusing is one click, exactly like allowing.
- At any time afterwards, use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page. It clears your stored choice, turns the map back off straight away, and asks you again.
- In your browser, you can block or delete cookies and site data for this site or for every site. Your browser's help pages explain how.
